You're making my case for me. Officiating absolutely impacted this game with no call being bigger than the phantom PI on 4th down.

So then why wasn't it pi on our last play?

PI doesn't really hinge on getting to the player before the ball. It has a lot more to do with impeding the receivers path to the ball. Bush made contact but only in extending his left hand in an attempt to block the pass.

If I make you feel better about the last play, does it give the Saints the fg? Does it make you feel better about giving up 14 straight in A couple minutes. Does Drew not go 0fer in his last dozen or so attempts?

Well that, and holding his right arm down.

So are you saying it should have been a penalty?

I can think drew blew it while also thinking the refs sucked today. It doesn't have to be one or the other

It really isn't difficult, but you don't seem intelligent enough to grasp that

There were some questionable penalties, but from the top down this team pissed away a game they dominated.

Payton gets conservative late when a TD makes it a 3 score game.

It took him a while, but Brees came through with another back breaking INT.

Saints had countless bad penalties that kept the Lions in it.

Someone said it correctly in another thread, bad teams find a way to lose. They're no questions left to be answered, this is a bad team.

What case is that...that a good meltdown means you ignore what actually happened on the field?

His arm was being held down. That is PI. Sorry.

I don't feel like the PI at end of game was a bad call. Now the call on lelito and PI on Dixon were bad. The personal foul on lions early in game was also bad. I will say this is the first time on Nola.com I've seen the writers call out the refs after a game. Actually 2 of them had. When it's all said and done White blew this game.

If it was valid, yes.

Saying the refs didn't impact the game is just stupid.

It's like saying only Brees cost us the game and the long td wasn't a factor.

Illogical

And you started the thread with an insult you hypocrite

A lot of factors cost us the game, including the refs.

Isn't a difficult concept
