Prime has a better atmosphere and sides, but I liked the steak at Carnevino better...but you're talking about degrees of greatness. If I'm going with my wife, I would do Prime. With buddies or clients, I would probably do Carnevino.

Also, I had the bone-in ribeye at Prime and the Florentine Porterhouse at Carnevino(which is their premier steak). So that may be why I liked the Carnevino steak better.

That said, if you want the best steak in Vegas, I say go with CUT. The service can be douchey, but the selection and quality of steaks is just awesome.

ETA: When it comes to top notch steakhouses in Vegas, you really can't go wrong, though.

I plan to go back to Vegas in December and will give CUT and/or Carnevino a visit.

Thanks for the feedback.

Don't see what's so special about Bern's besides the dessert room upstairs. Have been to a few in Vegas that are better.

I am sure Prime was great and the food wonderful, but that stuffed pepper looking thing with the bacon tail looks really dumb.

No offense intended. You just ordered, ate and enjoyed it, but I'm not sure what someone in the kitchen was thinking.

Peter Luger at #2? damn, i must have gone on an off night.

Killen's in Pearland, TX is a true gem for those in the Houston area. Killen's BBQ is also a great place to get some grub as well, but that's a different thread to discuss in.

Have been to Prime, Pappa's, Cut, CraftSteak, and Gibson's...all great experiences.

Vic And Anthony's should be on the list for the bone-in ribeye alone.

If it helps, it was a 1/2 wedge salad.

I see it now.

Still looks like someone tried to create a stingray.

Bern's is, without question, worth the hype.

We went with a large group of dudes and I ordered 2 MASSIVE steaks for the entire table. The larger the steak the better in terms of quality. They carved them for us and everything was incredible.

Their wine cellar is INSANE. We took a tour of it.

Great place.
