Would you if you were a small government conservative support a guy that thinks film tax credits given to his cousins, funded by taxpayers, is a proper role of government?

I agree with you IB on the film tax credits. Governments (fed and states) have gotten completely out of hand.

If I lived in the 5th district I would know that I am pretty much screwed no matter what.

Nonetheless, whoever owns the show is getting large amount of corporate welfare and that in turn provides more cash for things like salaries. It comes, of course from taxpayers.

That would be Mr. jackarse to you.

I wish the Robertsons all the success in the world but I wish the show would give back all the state subsidies they have gotten.

Still a very good issue to measure the fiscal conservatism of a candidate.

Of course it's awful, so just move on.

He actually does. He started a thread about Social Security reform just yesterday, I think.

But I.B. knows pointing out the corporate welfare associated with film-making subsidies rustles many jimmies on here.

No shite head you called out a man publicly for his family receiving benefits, you cant wipe your lie away with nonetheless. I realize this is your windmill but at least be honest. I don't live in LA and don't care about the race but prevarication is unnecessary.

Of course his family has and is receiving benefits. 35% of the salaries they get filming the show are refunded to their employer from Louisiana taxpayers.

So yes you naive cave man let's do be honest.

Mr. Dasher should tell us if he supports such corporate welfare.

I am not naïve just a little more honest to myself and others than you choose to be. You have no clue how much of these salaries come from where. If you want to claim the production company gets 35 cents on the dollar its true but your claim is about salaries is a outright lie and you know it.

Please tell us exactly what direct benefits his family received?

Film tax credits are a loser in the long term that we agree on but that does not excuse making up bullshite to argue about. This is why people have a hard time taking you seriously. Just flinging shite like a monkey and claiming nonetheless when called out on your BS will not win you any points in a debate with a sentient adult.

Just read the link and quit arguing about something you don't anything about.

You Mississippi boys can pay them if you want too. Their employers whoever they may be want you to pay 35% of their salaries if you want them in Mississippi.

What is a tax credit? Define it for us.

in the case of the film tax credits it is a reimbursement with cash of expenses film makers incur in Louisiana.

Giving you 30% of your electric bill be similar.
