Thank the lord that this abomination of an abortion of a "film" never happened. It would've killed off comic book movies for at least a decade and a half and kill the Superman franchise for at the most a generation.

Jon Schnepp, the director, has been working on this for a long time. He is a regular on the youtube show AMC Movie News, which I watch just about daily. He is a huge comic book nerd.

I doubt that. The genre has survived Green Lantern, Superman Returns, Daredevil, Catwoman, and a few other bombs. One movie won't kill the entire genre.
