Extraterrestrial (2014) - For fans of Cabin in the Woods

First, put the pitchforks down, I'm not comparing this to Cabin in the Woods (which was outstanding and superior to this movie in pretty much every way). Now that we have that out of the way...
I don't think this movie is out yet but there is a good torrent copy out there that I watched last night (or I think you can pay $10 on Amazon). It's a nice entertaining, fun "horror" movie... the whole time watching I just felt a Cabin in the Woods vibe, although Cabin in the Woods had a purpose for what/why it is...I don't know if this movie was intentionally being cliche or over the top cheesy (at times), or just playing into the whole B-movie angle, but the overall execution was great.
If you liked Cabin in the Woods, you should enjoy this. It's like Cabin in the Woods but with aliens and minus the satire.
I'm not sure about the ending, but by that time we had smoked many a left handed cigarettes, so it seemed satisfying.

Saw this available today. Never watched cabin in the woods though. I highly recommend checking out "horns" with Daniel Radcliffe.

Thanks for the heads up. I absolutely loved Cabin in the Woods, and have been looking for similar movies.

Fair enough. It's a pretty polarizing movie from what I can tell. You'd hate the shite outta Extraterrestrial if that's the case so I'm saving you 2 hours.
