Meet the DrinkMate

quote:

Be safe and make the right decisions. That's the inspiration behind DrinkMate, a new and convenient way to be responsible while having fun. It's the smallest breathalyzer in the world! Oh yeah, and it plugs into your Android smartphone to display your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC).

DrinkMate Android App

DrinkMate sends your BAC data to your Android phone via the micro-USB port.
After blowing, the BAC calculation takes a fraction of a second thanks to your phone's powerful processor and is immediately displayed.

If I'm drinking and driving I'd rather not know my BAC. I would feel too guilty. Ignorance is bliss concerning that.

For their sake, I hope people say a lot; because their liability insurance is going to be quite high. Perhaps they just plan to close the doors when the big one hits.

What about someone with an alligator clip in their keychain? I'd hire that guy over the guy with the breathalyzer any day.

i mean a 0.08 isn't exactly DRUNK. it's a very, very low standard for being "drunk". having this would seem like a responsible choice to me

this is for when you have 2-3 drinks over a couple hours and are worried you may be slightly above the limit

I wonder how accurate it is

Aren't those machines in bars not really accurate?

Even if you are under the legal limit, can't they charge you with something alcohol related if you were speeding or swerving?

Sounds like a good way to incriminate yourself. Why not go with a regular one that doesn't assign the results to your phone?

yes

they can charge you if you blow a 0.0

the cop will say you're high and intoxicated on a non-alcoholic substance.

There was already one on shark tank that's being sold. It's made millions already and plugs right into your phone as well.

Yea now days the "fraud" on Kickstarter is crazy. Lot's of people just taking the money and never delivering lately. Also, a few have been caught sourcing products off of Alibaba and selling it as one of a kind on Kickstarter. Those wood sunglasses and wooden watches are some good examples.

South Park was pretty spot on about Kickstarter in that you don't even need a product or to offer anything real to sucker people out of money on KS.
