Who is it? While Anders, T Shorty, Galactic, and Dumstahpunk are all routed pretty hard nationally....there seems to be a big gap in who is right below the big names. Who does the MB think is the best band in NO or the up and comer? Galactic and Meters are faded. Who comes down the shoot?

Good band. Still need more polish...which they will get on the road as they are touring hard.

Earphunk. Galactic should be in the same category as Flowtribe now.

Galactic has come with some awesome albums. They have the potential to be an incredible jam/funk band if they got rid of the singers and doosh on trombone and just stick to the four guys and instrumentals like 2006.

Stanton Moore Trio ftw right now though.

no shite mon, that doesn't mean they aren't the best band in New Orleans right now followed closely by Stanton Moore Trio.

I don't really think Corey Henry hurts them as much as having the singers do. The massive ego trip that this chick has and that dildo Shaw has at Galactic live shows kills the vibe...Will Galactic ever go back to instrumentals?

at least get Houseman back. Is he still alive? I had heard a few years ago that he may have been sick.
