I haven't seen Galactic since they switched from mostly instrumentals. What happened?

no shite mon, that doesn't mean they aren't the best band in New Orleans right now

I love Dragon Smoke but they have been playing the same 12 songs for over a decade now. Their summer '13 NE tour w/ Anders replacing Lindell was a breath of fresh air.

Houseman is doing well...He played a show with them a year ago I think. It was a big thing at Tips.

Really wish they would get him back for good

both are better than earphunk. If they are the best band in New Orleans right now then Nolas music scene is in a low point. and i love earphunk, dont get me wrong (talk about a band that plays the same 12 songs over and over)

Agreed. Galactic, TS, Anders are proven at that mold. Who get to that mold next?

Earphunk has signed to a much bigger label so I think they got the best chance honestly. Have Revivalists faded completely?

Revivalists are playing the Varsity tonight in BR.

I wanted to go, but I have to work tomorrow morning.

The Revivalists make good music but David Shaw is just such a **** that it ruins the show.

get a life bro

Stanton Moore Trio and Dragon Smoke are better no matter what songs they play.

the list should be

1. any Stanton Moore collab
2. any Anders Osbourn collab
3. Earphunk or Preservation Hall Band
4. the rest...

What did he do, f&%k your gf or something? How does a musician being an a$$hole affect the performance?

*Note: I have never been to a Revivalists show.
