Question about LSUPD

Why would you even want to join them ? They're basically mall cops with lower pay then the other LE agencies. Only plus side is that their job isn't stressful? Id rather do BRPD.

but most EBRSO and BRPD are losers too. Now, I would not mind doing SFPD( San Fransisco).

Would you guys do BRPD, EBRSO, LSP, or the Feds? And what are the pros and cons.
Also, i guess all LSUPD does is just drive around and never really do real police work. I wonder what their social lives are like.

Never had any personal dealings with them but 2 things stick out in my mind:
1. the dude dealing drugs while working for them around 2004
2. 2001, about March, about 3:30 am at the dairy farm. You can hear everything when its quiet like that. I hear a V8 ROARING from the vet school up to Gourrier, then hard brakes. Then the engine roaring again, flies by the dairy going probably 100, gets to the golf course, slams on the brakes for the railroad tracks, hits Nicholson, lights up the engine again to the stadium, then starts over in a circle twice. Cows used to get out all the time. Can't imagine hitting a cow at that speed
Have to admit, if I had to deal with drunk 18 year olds all the time and the losers at the football games, I'd be a prick too

Wildlife agent; Courthouse Guard; Constable; Homeland Security; Border Patrol.
Heck, basically, it's a Government job, a gun, license to beat, and 75 days off a year. Can't beat it!

I had the honor of meeting 3 of them early one morning. The 2 guys were actually pretty cordial and laid back. Now the 3rd little girl that was built like a little boy either had some serious PMS or her growth hormones were kicking in. It took everything in my power not to ask her "why are you such an angry lil boy".

Yeah, but it would suck. Seeing all the frat boys have fun and tailgaters eat. Id rather go after crackheads, rapists, and violent criminals and be a real cop detective.

No, you wouldn't. You definitely wouldn't. You are vastly overstating the negatives that they endure, and their lives aren't in danger nearly as much as with the other departments.
