So Obamacare has improved the uninsured rate ~1% since GWB.

Pre-Obama uninsured rate hovered around 14%. We've held steady at 13.4% under obamacare since its implementation. It that the best we can do?

Is it still worth it?

It was never about helping the uninsured I don't believe. Just fricking everyone else over and then eventually leading to single payer.

Well, my insurance rates increase in July 2015.

I have insurance through my employer for myself and my son. I used to pay $50.00 per month for my son to be on the plan with a $500.00 deductible. Employer covered my portion. Starting in July 2015 it will cost me $383.00 per month for us two plus my deductible is 1K.

Never going to happen. The insurance companies won't allow it. The insurance companies OWN our politicians. They would never allow our health care system to go single payer.

Single payer is the baloney that was sold to the left and they have bought it hook, line, and sinker. Obamacare is a HUGE insurance pay off (who in turn pay off politicians). They will NEVER get rid of that quid pro quo deal. There is now way too much money involved to simply give it up in place of a single payer system.

The general public isn't going to be happy with a do-over. Obamacare has ruined the chances for a single payer setup already.

What was the uninsured rate at end of GWB's term?

What is it now?

That incremental is Obamacare's achievement. Is is worth it?

actually its not. We have very high unemployment since most people get their health insurance through their employers, it boosts uninsured rates. The incremental would be since obamacare was implemented IMHO.

But that doesn't work for your narrative.

I think obamacare stinks but its done an OK job in lower uninsured rates.

Considering you get fined for not having insurance, it is not surprising that you see a drop in uninsured rate.

Yes, but the more expensive plan with a higher deductible is better for you. You just don't understand how these things work. Just think of the children!!!!

This was all about controlling healthcare, specifically controlling Medicare costs.

This will only get worse.
