It's actually in between 74 and 30, fronting on 3115. I think it is some sort of plant tailings or lime or something, but it just keeps getting bigger. Don't know?

It's slightly radioactive gypsum. It's an ingredient used to make fertilizer.

It was a running joke that they could be used for skiing events on the off chance that Kip Holdin talked the Olympic committee into allowing Baton Rouge to host the Winter Olympics (all bobsled events would be at Blue Bayou, of course, haha)

fluorogypsum
part of it is a byproduct of making HF at Honeywell, some of it is from PCS I think from their ammonia plant

if you turn down 3115 and go to river road, on your left will huge mounds of fluorogypsum before reacted

The Jamaicans would have the advantage right? Sounds like the opposite of cool runnings

The radioactivity is why it never gets smaller. It would be tough to move in quantity but if you could find a use for it and work out the transportation, you'd be a millionaire overnight.

Gypsum is mined. It keeps well when stored in those large mountains. It depends on economics as to whether it's getting smaller or larger.
