Tiger stadium is at its best when a highly ranked team comes to town and we have a chance to upset them.
Not looking past Kentucky but the Ole Miss game should be a fun night.

Personally I prefer the contender role.

I don't...to be a spoiler means your team is less highly thought of and winning is unlikely. No thanks.
That being said, it is what I grew up with as an LSU fan in the early 80's onward, so it's very familiar and it did breed a certain type of fan that was with The Tigers win or lose (something we clearly no longer have) but all things being equal I prefer being the 800lb gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis like we have been for a decade plus.

frick that. Being irrelevant sucks.

Everyone talks about how TS is dead, and to an extent, they're right. However, the reason isn't spoiled students, or corporate tickets, etc., it's LSU's high level expectations. For the last 10 or so years, LSU has had maybe 1 or 2 home games per year where the thought going into the game wasn't that LSU was superior to their opponent and that a win was just a foregone conclusion. Fans weren't really excited about the game because there was no element of suspense/concern going in.
You'll see a fired up crowd against Ole Miss. One that will cheer all game, and stay until the end (unless it is a blowout either way) because everyone likes to cheer for the underdog

this first.
spoiler role is fun, but for when your team is not great. much rather be going toe to toe with a great team as a great team.

Well, we're not irrelevant yet. Every game from here on out is a toss up. If we get a few breaks here and there and we're sitting at 10-2 or 9-3 at the end of the season that will be far from irrelevant.

LSU won't be a spoiler until they lose another game. They are still in contention for the SEC title and CFP. Given LSU's remaining opponents, the home-away aspect couldn't be more favorable.

Tiger stadium is at its best when it isn't full of entitled retards. That hasn't been true since 2003 though -
Including myself. I booed Marcus Randall in 2004 against Oregon state and left the game before the miraculous comeback

At least you're willing to admit that you are part of the problem. Bravo sir.

Being a spoiler means you aren't able win a championship yourself, just ruining somebody elses chances. No thanks.

I have always thought we play best when we are counted out. I am all for playing spoiler!

Well, that's the hand the fans have been dealt this year with such a young team so stop acting like a spoiled brat.

Stop acting like a blubbering pussy. We are still in contention. Don't just bend over and take it, fight for your life.

We can still do major damage to the Bears title hopes by beating them. It's always great beating the Gumps no matter their record. (Love watching Little Nicky's head explode). We also get to avenge two of last seasons losses. Sounds like a spoiler to me

People are completely overlooking this. LSU has a lot of issues to work on, no doubt. They made some big strides last week, whether the negas want to admit it or not.
Now, they come home for a three game stretch. The first game against a vastly improved KY team who is 5-1. A win there is another huge confidence builder for this young team.
Then, staying at home, they go into Ole Miss, at home, on a role....and with an opportunity to really screw over this hated former rival. I believe the players and crowd will be electrifying. Hell, even early in the season, at home, against a state team that is now #1 in the nation, LSU was a completed pass from winning. They have improved a great deal since then. And, they are at home....look at the record of LSU over the years at home, under Miles. ARe they beatable at home? Absolutely, but you better bring your lunch pale.
IF LSU pulls that upset (only about a 3 pt dog last I checked) against Ole Miss...a week off, full of confidence, hosting bama.....one game at a time....but this season could turn out much better than the negatigers are hoping for.
