Unlocking an iPhone?

Is there a way to unlock an iPhone that you don’t know the password to? Walking to work this morning I saw an iPhone in the cracks by the pathway and the bushes. I grabbed it because it’s supposed to rain today and was gonna call mom or dad or someone recent in the texts, but now I don’t have a clue what to do. If I take it to Verizon can they unlock it? Can I answer it if someone calls without a password?

Only way to unlock it is to reset it, but that would be useless. I'm sure you can take it to Verizon and get the Sim checked out

Not a bad idea. This or "call me at work". Or "call mom". Basically try to get someone close enough to the owner to insure he/she can be reached.
