My company car is a 2013 Ford Edge. On the audio panel, I have a button for Sirius but when I push it, it says "not equipped. Contact dealer" which is code word for allow us to plug something in and charge you $500.

Do any of you know how I can equip Sirius on my own knowing that there's already a button for it on the panel?

Dern. I'd rather just buy the internet subscription for my phone and stream it via bluetooth. I thought it would be as easy as plug n play for $50 or so.

yeah, looks like it requires some actual equipment...

of course, you may find it cheaper by searching a little more, but I don't think it is gonna be $50 unless you luck out and find one in a junkyard...

Had the same issue with my 2014 F150. Better off buying an external unit, which sucks. I'm about to cancel my subscription unfortunately.

You'll need the antenna and the adapter too. $40 from Amazon.

You'll need at least that for doing it thru the radio.

Then you might only need what someone else suggested. I needed the whole shebang.

Just get one of these, plug and play. Had it in a truck a few years back. Now use it in rear yard, boat and beach, totally portable.

I had mine moved from an aftermarket stereo (old truck) to new truck (ford) for free. I do have the lifetime membership. Don't think they offer it anymore. Best $200 I ever spent

I know I could, but I didn't want the external unit.

My daily commute went from 2 hours total to about 15 minutes total. So I'm not in my truck nearly much as I used to be, so it's ok.

That just means it's satellite ready. You still need a satellite reciever and the wire harness from the radio.

It's ridiculous XM is not standard across the board now.

I think it's that much for a one year subscription with all the channels now.
