My mom is looking for a convertible laptop for here next machine. She wants something that does not weigh a ton and can convert into tablet mode. This HP has good specs with an I-5 and 8G of Ram. Ideally i'd say find one with an SSD however she does not want to break the bank on one and i've not seen one in the $600-$700 range with a SSD. What does the Tech Board think of this computer.

Seems like using the keyboard as the base is a bad idea..

Why do you say that? (though I would assume the keyboard can be easily disabled)

I just picture flipping a keyboard over and then trying to work on the pad laying on top of it
