Explain that. Are you suggesting it has something to do with the 10 or so QB's that have been recruited since?

This has a great deal to do with underclassmen leaving. Think of having Hill, Beckham, Ferguson, Johnson, etc. this year.

If RP hadn't been run off, we would've had two more years to develop JLee and JJefferson. Which would've given us two more years to develop whomever else after them.

Is it an excuse? No. But it is a reason why QB depth has been terrible.

I agree with this.

Mett was after them. Actually in that span of time, we had

- Andrew Hatch (transfer from Harvard who was not D1 quality),
- Russell Shepard (who never even attempted a pass and couldn't pass from what everybody says. Completely wrong system for him),
- Chris Garrett (lazy, no work ethic, kicked off team), and Zach Lee (5 mill to play baseball),
- Jerrard Randall (transferred, in the wrong system for him, and was a very raw passer),
- Stephen Rivers (stone feet like Mett, but wasn't near the passer as Mett, he transferred because he couldn't beat out Jennings, and sucks at Vanderbilt)
- Rob Bolden (sucked at Penn State, was last on depth chart, transferred and sucks at Eastern Michigan)

it didn't matter because all these QBs either left or the ones that were here didn't have a legit QB coach (except for Rivers).

Going off raw QB depth, we have been loaded the past few years. Everybody just wanted to leave this year, and they look like crap (Rettig TBD) on their transfer teams.
