Probably ever 3-4 arguments, so at least once or twice a month, things are worse than normal and involve my wife grabbing our son in a big show of theatrics, standing there with him saying things like "daddy doesn't loves us" or "daddy is a bad person" etc. and storming off with him, slamming doors and the like.

What's the source of the issue of the arguing? Dealing with that would be best. You made a commitment with your wife. Stick to it. We need more of that these days.

Two people in this world are allowed to act crazy and it be acceptable.

1- team mascots. This doesn't apply here.

2- pregnant women. Your situation falls under this

She sounds like a child. You should treat her like one.

What to do? I'd prefer not to divorce my wife because I don't want my kids to have a broken home, but I don't want to stay with her if this environment is worse than us being separated. Looking at the caliber of my wife's ex's (drugs, criminal behavior, etc.), I'm afraid of who she would have my kids around if we were divorced, so that's maybe something to consider when comparing which scenario is worse on them.

Sounds like you saved a skank and tried to make a honest woman out of her. It doesn't work out that way jr.

First, your wife is a count.

Second, you need to make it very clear she can either get in counseling because she's damaging your child's emotional security, or you're gone. That's bull shite. A child's emotions are tied to how secure they feel. And she is destroying that.

She's pregnant with a 2 year old...maybe cut her some slack?

Either way, y'all need counseling.
