Advice/Direction for purchasing a wireless modem (brighthouse internet)

I'm looking to cut the $10 per month rental fee off my internet bill with Brighthouse. I'm currently paying $50 per month for 10meg download and this will bring it to $40.

The wifi performance on gateways is terrible, but if you're already using it with no complaints then go for it. If you're moving from a dedicated modem/dedicated router combo, you will be disappointed.
