Huh, I'm on episode 3. Does it get worse or something? Or are you military and that bothers you? Just not your cup of tea?

I can't watch much in the way of legal shows because they frick things up so badly.

Never watched Generation Kill. Watched The Sopranos in it's entirety (great show) and Oz (you'll love some of the casting you come across).

The only one of the three that comes close to The Wire is The Sopranos.

Just never got better for me I guess.

This is probably it. I guess I went in with high expectations (because I heard a lot of good things about it) and I thought I was getting into something else. Just seemed like nothing ever really happened. And it was like 2 weeks removed from my last BoB rewatch.

I've seen them all, and I believe the Wire is the GOAT.

I really liked True Detective, but I would categorize it as a mini series not a show.

Favorite Drama Series (After Wire and Sopranos they are in no particular order)
1. Wire
2. Sopranos
Shield
Game of Thrones
House of Cards
Breaking Bad
Deadwood
Boardwalk Empire
Homeland
Mad Men
Friday Night Lights
Lost
Downton Abbey

Favorite Mini-Series
1. Lonesome Dove
2. Band of Brothers
Generation Kill
John Adams
The Pacific

Ah gotcha. I will say this has me intrigued to look up Iraq invasion video for some reason. Hope that isn't too difficult. Of course watched the news back then but this has me intrigued for more authentic footage, especially urban combat which is spooky to say the least

Watched them all; True Detective doesn't belong in the company of any of them.

Still, Oz and Generation Kill are big steps back from the top of the HBO lineup.
