About how long should I expect to wait before I find a buyer?

UPDATED: Sold it today for $14,000. It was on the market for less than 10 days, and listed only on Craigslist - and sold to the 2nd person that called me about it.

Thanks to everyone for your wisdom, advice, and past experience.

You would have to provide a lot more details to get a good answer.

For example, you sell it for $1, it will sell tomorrow.

Nah he'll sell that within seconds of listing it.

Well, I was just looking for generalized past experiences.

"It took me about a month to sell my 2005 Wrangler Sport...", Etc...

I'll be selling it for around market value, perhaps a few hundred dollars lower. Around $14,000.

I would expect it to take a while, a few months maybe, everyone is trying to do what you are doing, trading up to a car with good gas mileage. A jeep Wrangler isnt exactly your eco friendly car

Clean retail is around $13,500.

So I'd anticipate it's going to take you a while at 14k.

Expect to sell it for $13k. A lot of people are gonna lowball you and ask if you want to trade stupid shite like a tractor, but I've sold two vehicles on CL.

It is actually kinda weird. There are people just feeling you out, there are some that will never show up when they say they are going to, etc. I've spoken to a couple of people about this, but one day you'll get an email and within 24hrs, it'll be sold. People that drag out email conversations rarely buy. Took me a month and a half on both, and I had them at 10% less than market value

Thanks for the feedback!

My FIL has bought and sold many cars on Craigslist. I've been apprehensive about it - but I figured I'd at least list it.

Have nurse write your craigslist posting. She loves jeeps. Probably talking to someone now about how much she loves her jeep. No offense nurse.

That seems a bit low. I can't find any listed online with under 100K miles for a price that low.

I'm not super desperate to sell it, so that helps I guess.

On second thought, you're not really too far off in your valuation.

What's in your favor is people love jeeps at that price point. That's going to help you immensely.

Best of luck.

I've sold 2 cars on Craigslist. Both sold to buyers who called on day 1. Depends on if you price the car right or not for a quick sale.
