I don't understand everyone calling for clm head because of the offense while they still back cam. Does anyone else notice how similar our offense is to the ravens before he got fired. Force the run on first and second then throw a deep ball (Flacco was basically just a downfield passer before cam got axed). I'd like to see more of an intermediate passing game and when Jennings is in much more over the middle since they seem to trust his reads but he doesn't have the arm strength for the 15 yard out

Um, yeah. Baltimore fans complained that Cam didn't give the ball enough to Ray Rice and that he threw the ball too much.

It's been brought up. The people who don't see the absurdity of it don't want to see the absurdity of it.

This is really getting tiresome. The people "calling for his head" are a small minority. And out of those, a few have admitted that once they calmed down, they do not feel that way anymore. Criticism does not equal "calling for his head."

I agree ..hell I do not even recall any attempts ... but I may have missed them (beer drinking -lol)

I have seen other posters say that is because possible over-the-middle interceptions, but WE MUST TRY, or else,
the Ds will pin their ears back and come after us, knowing that we will not have much time for deep passes.

+1
Also Miles gives this "unattached" attitude which does not help him.
I have not heard him once say, I / We need to do a better job (meaning coaches.
I have heard him be critical of the performance of the team.

Whether one likes Spurrier or not, he has taken open responsibility over the USC fiasco. ...thus fans feel like he is "working on fixing the problem"

Maybe they have calmed down as you said, but if you would have done one of those upvote/downvote polls on Monday, probably half of the ranters on the board would have voted to fire Miles mid-season. Recruiting and everything else be damned.

wanting the offense to improve does not mean wanting a guy fired.

If that's true, I apologize. Maybe people trolling? I'm basing my statement on the threads/posts that I'm reading here. I'm definitely a "negatiger" right now, but I'm not ready to fire Les immediately.

Coach Cameron is a very smart man who has forgoten more football than we will ever know.

As far as our tendencies and philospohy, Muschamp said something similar in his comments about our 50/50 chance of hitting the jumpball deep, how we have gone to longer WR's. It is a trend in the NFL too. I think Richard Dickson said it too, we avoid most areas of the field to avoid interceptions, the defense knows this and what it has to defend and what it can not worry about. We want to run the ball, then play action pass deep in hopes of hitting a big one, but also keeping the safeties back. Like it or not, it is what our coaches prefer and we just have to deal with it. Would I like to see us have a multi-directional approach, attack ALL parts of the field? Of course. I am sure our coaches have their reasons for what they do, they see our guys every day and feel like their calls give us the best chance given where we are today.

Describes me perfectly. I honestly think he's lost a lot of his fire and would like to see him facilitate a 3-4 year transition period before retiring with dignity. I really don't think he'll be coaching until he's 70 (he's just about to make 60 right now). I understand that CFB fans are impatient, but I would, for once, like to see the hiring process look orderly and deliberate. Take a year or two to find a scuccessor, bring him on and get him involved with the recruiting and building relationships, move him up by 2016 or 2017 with Miles agreeing to a minor re-structuring of his buy-out and serving the University in some capacity. Truth be told, I'm not really fond of the fact that our top three are so fricking old.

what you said is true, but the QB MUST be given time to throw deep I think that's where we fall short sometime

Such a tired argument. Charlie Weiss has forgotten more football than we'll ever know. Is he a good Coach? Bush and Obama know more about being president than any of us. Were/are they good Presidents?

I'm not saying Cam is a bad coach, though the rant's typical premature deification of him certainly appears unjustified at this point. But the offense he's putting on the field right now looks like shite. And again, I'm not talking about the scheme. I'm talking about the fact that we can't eexecute it.

can't blame the cook when he's being forced to cook with some shitty recipes. I've seen cam cameron offenses in college and the NFL, and never once seen a toss dive. He comes to LSU and suddenly loves this awful play? OK

I don't think Les is calling plays on game day, but if you don't think his finger prints are all over this offense in the game plan throughout the week you're nuts. There's been articles posted where Gundy and Henson said as much about Les.

Whether or not the cook is fond of the dish he's preparing, he needs to cook it well.

Our offense may well have a scheme problem, but it sure as shite has an execution problem. If Cam is responsible for fielding a competent offense, he is fricking up big time this year. Scheme be damned.

First it was Jimbo getting conservative in big games, then Crowton, then that mess with stud which was deserved

It can't always be the OC
