I was too young to be a good judge of where it fell at the time, but it seems pretty average in retrospect.

It has the greenlight. Feig has done The Heat, Bridesmaids, and bunch of episodes of the Office. Dippold did The Heat and a few Parks and Rec episodes.

You're average in retrospect.

Almost all old movies do. You have to grade on a curve.

I' not sure how old you are, but how you can consider it average is beyond me. I'm 34, so the original was a little before my time (since I was 4 when it came out), but watching it over the years, it's hilariously funny and endlessly quotable, and has Bill Murray (you know, one of the funniest people ever to walk the earth) in one of his best, funniest, and most iconic characters. It's a movie that isn't just "nostalgia good," but legit great.

The word "average" shouldn't come anywhere near this movie IMO.

Wigg, Kate McKinnon, Amy Shumer and don't let McCarthy within 10 zipcodes and I'll entertain the notion of this project.

Not funny. At all.

Are you one of those people who also dislike Princess Bride?

How about Kristen Schaal. She's legitimately funny, one of the few woman who can pull that off when they are actually trying, and she could be come super obsessive with one of the ghost and has to constantly be stopped from freeing it from containment.

I like her too. She can play Annie Potts part.

This thing is coming together nicely imo.

So I just read that this will have no connection to the originals and takes place "in a world" where the original films do not exist. IE, this is a total reboot.

So Tori Spelling from Scary Movie 2 basically.

Shaal is pretty legit funny though, I agree.

I hate the women aren't funny meme, but this was a great line:

Oh, and remaking Ghostbusters is a terrible idea. I don't care who stars in it. It's f'n Ghostbusters. it's like remaking the Godfather. You got it right the first time. Don't mess with it.
