Was just on Moscona and said Les and Co. aren't calling interior routes to the middle of the field and passes to the tight ends to avoid mistakes and interceptions by young QB's...hence almost exclusively throwing deep bombs down the sidelines...

So...cliff notes is ultra conservative Les= run, run, deep pass, punt which leads to more pressure on the defense, and a result like what you saw against Auburn...

People were confused by why the TE's aren't involved, there's your answer. Les doesn't even trust them to make reads.

Remember that little dump off just beyond the line of scrimmage to Keiland William and Charles Scott that we use to run? That thing use to work pretty well.

Smith and Washington are likely regretting their decision to come waste away under Les Miles. Smith drops a pass and is never heard from again.

We aren't turning the ball over, awesome. Yet we can't move the ball against SEC defenses, and our defense isn't good enough to win the ball game 9-6.

How bout we try to score the ball and if we turn it over, so what. This ain't 2011-2012. The defense isn't going to win it for us.

How hard can it be to go 5-10 yards downfield and turn around for a quick pass??

Sadly, it would not surprise me to see a moronic Les white knight begin trashing Richard and his brother as part of their noble fight to protect their daddy at all costs.

And since one didn't appear, you decided to make him up?
The strategy seems sound to me. As much as this board obsesses over the tight ends, our offenses' problems aren't going to be solved by throwing five yard stick routes to Dickson jr.

If this actually the case, I feel sorry for Les. Evidently the Pick 6 fiasco in '08 has really affected his ability to trust the passing game. I say this not to be a smart arse, but perhaps he should talk to someone about it (a professional). This distrust of the passing game is really hamstringing our offense.

If opposing D's know all they have to defend is the deep pass and the power run, it sure makes their preparation a lot easier.

Well thanks. But I'll probably go with Richard's take over yours.

Played with TJ. Watched his brother get loose in high school. Richard was a great tight end. He also had a QB who could complete a five yard pass. Something we don't have now. If we could do it, I promise we would.

Sure. Did Richard actually say it was a bad strategy? Or was he just reporting it as a fact - "this is why they're calling the plays they are." I'm guessing it was the latter.

Dude you HATE Les Miles and LOVE Nick Saban, who lost to UAB. Dickson, Moscona, and YOU are all LIARS!!!! BTW, Saban also lost to ULM, so NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH!!

P.S. 80+ winning % and Les built LSU football all by himself

He also said Les doesn't call plays. Fans that think the scheme is the problem are stupid. Called the fans out for booing. Saying that gets in the kids head. You should never boo. You have a young qb, what got lee hatch and jj through were the other upperclassmen that knew the plays in and out. Young qbs forget plays. They still put up 30 pts a game in 08. This team is young.

So basically, thread did not go as OP hoped.
