Jalyn Patterson - Under the Radar?

LSU Basketball is looking to have a great season! Elbert Robinson, Josh Gray, Keith Hornsby, Aaron Epps and Brian Bridgewater are all expected to contribute significantly as newcomers, but Patterson may be one of the unheralded "diamonds in the rough".
He was the point guard of the Montverde Academy team, featuring Ben Simmons, that has won the HS national championship tournament the last two years in a row. His number is 11 and by the way, #22 is Simmons.

Anybody think he won't see the court this season?

Yes, it is a definite possibility that Jalyn could be "under the radar" as you say, At least he may be overlooked by those making a pre-season analysis of LSU basketball.
Do you think Gray is a better 2 guard than point? And we know Hornsby is more at home at #2.
So do you believe Patterson will receive enough minutes early in the season to help establish himself as someone who deserves quite a bit of timein the rotation?

Never thought I'd be this ready for basketball only 6 weeks into football season.

Yeah, who would have thought we'd be so eager for roundball season to begin?
Did some looking on Gray and he indeed is a point guard, but I still think Patterson deserves a serious look also at that spot.

Coach JJ said gray is the best pure pg on the team. Patterson can at the 2 bc he can shoot

Wasnt real high on patterson, he was moreof a coup than a need at the time we landed him but by all accounts has had a very good summer, and we needed him after hickey left the program

Yeah, I wasn't real sure if he fit what Jones wants at guard. I'm hoping that he'll be a deceptively efficient scorer in a couple years.

He definitely looks like someone who can contribute useful minutes. I see him as the possibly the backup PG to Josh Gray. I believe will see Quarterman more at the 2 and maybe more as a defensive specialist with his quickness and long arms.
Patterson is 6'0" but did you see the block he made in the video right under the basket? Looks like he can jump out of the gym.
I too am pumped about the basketball season. Have been since we signed this recruiting class. Unfortunately, I think the start of this years football season has steered my focus more to BB.

I doubt it. He is a true PG. He can do it all! He can score from anywhere, but I don't think he can out shoot Hornsby from "3" range.

watching that got me so hyped up for basketball season! I hope your right! I am excited about the players returning and all of the newcomers but I am really excited to see Elbert Robinson out there!
