And why, everytime I find something I like, it's always under contract or has an accepted offer?
FML.

I just started this week. I know it's going to be a pain in the butt. Everything I wanted to see this past weekend was already under a contract.

I enjoyed the process. This go round we were closing on the third house we looked at within 3 weeks of starting to look.

Started this week. Saw one Sunday and while we were there someone signed a contract. Had an appointment to see one tonight we loved. Someone went in today and put cash down on it. Killing me...

I actually got really into it and enjoyed the process. Houses weren't going like hotcakes when we bought, so we had our pick without the stress of quick turnarounds or bidding wars.

Just bought a house 2 weeks ago. We saw one house that we liked and later that day someone put an offer in and it was accepted. Checked out another house that we actually liked more and ended up buying that one. Was relatively pain free.

For me, really the only way to get through those situations was to say to myself that it wasn't meant to be and something great was out there for me.

True. Lots of houses for sale.

Booming economy in many areas in Tx and La makes house hunting a pain in the arse these days.

Because you, like everyone else, are too poor to afford exactly what you want, are too short on time to build exactly what you want, and are nervous about buying someone else's problems.

Looked for 6 months and my current house went on the market. It was for sale for 2 days and 5 people went through, 4 of which gave offers. I had to end up giving $3k over asking, but got it

Yeah, the Biltmore is a bit out of my price range.

The Arcadia area is cool but Paradise Valley is even better, I wouldn't buy a primary residence anywhere other than those 2 neighborhood in AZ.

im currently living in Southdowns but wanted to upgrade to a new house in 70810 before the summer. I did not find anything I liked so I decided to stay for another football season in the hood. I casually still search for the time being.

Best option is to build.
Even if you love a house, there will always be a bunch of shite your SO wants to change, which means YOU doing a bunch of shite.

What does under a contract mean?
