Voters have turned decidedly hostile toward President Obama and his policies. That’s not just my partisan view; it is empirical data. A poll released over the weekend shows that 32 percent of voters are using their midterm election votes to send a message of opposition to the president. That is “the highest ‘no vote’ percentage in the last 16 years” as measured by Gallup. I have never seen a White House or a political party as hollowed out as the Democrats appear to be now.

Weren't the 2010 midterms supposed to be a rejection of Obama's policies? But we still re elected him.

I think these mid terms will be a toxic environment for democrats.

I think republicans will pick up the senate, and Louisiana's run off might be the last stand for the democrats. I expect a lot of money going into both candidates for the runoff.

I think there were a lot of shenanigans in that election, such as the same person voting multiple times for Obama. The voter turnout skewing so strongly democrat over republican just made no sense given the disenchantment by that time. We heard of all of the issues with groups like Acorn doing lots of illegal voter registration stuff. In other words, I think Obama cheated and stole the election. These voter ID laws are absolutely vital for swing states going forward. There is a reason Obama's administration has fought against them so hard.
