Yeah. He did it when he killed that businessman in episode 2. All the other times were in the tunnel thing though, I'm pretty sure.

It's not any more creepy than having the hots for a stepsister.

We may not want to know the answer to that question.

Think about who you're asking.

Look no further than the Brady Bunch.

The boys and the girls weren't related...but there was something underneath the surface.

the 70s were a different time (not that I would know).

they really havent done a good job of playing the iris angle so far. but i think thats good. the show doesnt need to focus on that so early. now barry is free to be barry.

i dont want to see him with Caitlin. shes awful. besides killer frost, does the flash really have any female rogues? im just realizing how male centric of a comic it is.

Golden Glider - Lisa Snart (strange power that allows her to glide on air like a figure skater)

good call. pretty sure that retconned a long, long time ago. they use his sister as part of the reason he steals. idk if they will even introduce her in this show at all.

Caitlin is a bore...but Ronnie is even worse.

To me, the highlights of the show are Sisco and the possibility of Thawne being batshit crazy.

Still think the guy playing Eddie should be playing Barry.

i think eddie will become one.

eta: and yeah eddie in the show looks much more like the traditional barry allen. but i see what they were going for with the tv show. they wanted more of a "Spider-man feel." they played up his dorky side and wanted a similar build and look to fit it. the guy playing eddie could not play a dorky, down on his luck kind of guy.

to an extent I understand, especially being the CW and everything...but to "Parkerize" to an A-list property like The Flash (if nothing else his symbol is one) shows a lack of faith in a more faithful adaptation of who Barry is.

One thing I've noticed, Joe keeps talking about Barry never letting anything get to him as if he has this great hope about him-which (in super nerd talk) parallels Barry's time bullet run as well as the selection of him as a Blue Lantern
despite all his tradegy, but like you stated he is very much in the Parker role-a guy who does let shite effect him. Add that with all the crying and the young Barry Allen always getting his arse kicked it just doesn't feel like Barry to me, but I've been watching it hoping for some improvements.

ETA: in short if Hollywood is going to make all of the A-list heroes more similar to each other as opposed to the drastic differences between them on the pages why have an expanded universe? Ray Palmer's motivations aren't far from this as well...Hugh Jackman's Logan is way more "classically heroic" than his comic counterpart, etc.

I think we have to continue keeping in mind that The Flash and Arrow are basically origin stories. And if I remember right, early on in the comics (long before I was ever reading them, or even born for that matter) Barry Allen was depicted as sharing some of Peter Parker's traits like always being late and being somewhat of a geeky scientist (which the show has tried to portray). But he definitely isn't the Barry allen that comic readers all know now...at least not yet.

exactly. i mentioned something similar in the Arrow thread when people were complaining Oliver still doesnt act like the Oliver Queen from the comics. Thats because he isnt there yet. He is Arrow. this is his journey to become Green Arrow. the entire show is building to him becoming that character.

seems flash is the same. barry has to find his confidence still. its not innate

So assuming Wells is RF and they were both in the same room at the same time, does that mean RF is from the future but is younger than Wells? I still don't see how Wells could be that jacked up though. It's easier to believe Eddie is the present version of RF but that wouldn't explain the ending of the episode.

eta: I still think wells is future Barry somehow. Is the timeline ever changed in the comics? I'm thinking maybe Wells is a version of Barry that was forced to do hard, cold things in a tough world and now he's trying to correct that.

I think Wells is Eobard Thawne. That's why he was so careful to say "Detective Thawne, would you like to read him his rights?"

He was letting his past/future self know not to kill his ancestor.

I think Wells traveled back in time and killed Barry's mother. For some reason he has been stuck here ever since. I think RF is another version of Thawne from the future.

Wells is obviously a speedster. He changed his voice just like Barry and RF does in the final scene and he also healed significantly in a matter of moments in the final scene.

I think RF got his powers because of Barry. In the comics Eobard Thawne got his powers from an old Flash Suit he found. I think at some point in the future, Barry goes back in time to prevent his mom's murder, if he succeeds he would never become the Flash and Eobard would never have his powers, so Thawne goes back to stop him. Somehow Thawne ends up stuck in 2000 after ensuring Barry's mom dies and assumes the Wells persona and starts building towards ensuring that Barry becomes the Flash.
