I'm looking into purchasing a Chromebook for work since it will mainly be used for website based word processing. Any suggestions on which one to buy? There are so many Chromebooks out there and I would like to get the most "bang for my buck." I've been looking at the Samsung 3 series. Is that a good option or should I look at something else. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I just bought the Acer C720 a couple of days ago and am waiting for it to come in. Will let you know how I like it.

Why ?

You can get a laptop for just $100 or so more that can do a whole lot more.

That's why I'm torn. I already have a laptop but I want something light-weight and portable. My laptop is heavy and bulky. Chromebooks look like a good option but a smaller laptap seems more practical. Advice needed

LINK Full Windows OS. You can find them for under $300 (got one for my brother for Christmas last year for $299).

ETA: Plus it comes with Office.

I just want something that I can surf, play Netflix, and stream music until I can afford a higher end laptop. If this lasts me 2 years or so, I'll be happy.

I've been using a Samsung 11" for a year and really like it. It's small, portable, boots quickly and has great battery life. It's done everything I needed it to do - spreadsheets, word processing, email, web surfing, Netflix, YouTube, etc. plus I use it to play music from Pandora, mp3's and upload photos from a digital camera to the cloud.

I bought it after I loaned my Windows laptop to someone and have continued to use it quite a bit. I'm now looking to buy a 13" Asus Chromebook.

I have a first model HP11. I love it for what it is. Small, light, silent, good battery, and great screen. I have no major complaints. I wish they would have put a little more RAM in it, but as long as I don't ask for too much from it, it doesn't give me any problems. I think they are about to release the new 11 and 14 inch models with much better specs.
