“I’ve been in those types of games before and you win some and lose some,” Franks said. “Just because you lose to a great team like Auburn it should not affect the way guys think. I know it doesn’t have any effect on me at all.”

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Franks was involved in one of those lopsided losses on Friday when his Wakulla squad turned the ball over eight times – all fumbles – in a 60-21 loss to Godby.

Franks feels that fans have to be patient with the Tiger offense and thinks the best lies ahead.

“They have a bunch of young players and I’m sure as the receivers get a little more comfortable and the quarterbacks do too that they will throw the ball more vertically,” he said. “I still feel real good about my decision and I’m excited to play for coach Cameron and coach Miles. I love everything about LSU and nothing has changed for me.”

Hasn't he already committed, de-committed, and then committed again?

Not really.

It never begins and never ends. In a word it's recruiting.

Xavier Lewis is wavering big time after seeing last weekends game and will most likely decommit. Miss st is the likely place he ends up. This kid doesn't know what he wants. Quite frankly, he isn't that good to be playing these recruiting games. We are loaded in the defensive backfield. Kevin toliver will be here. We will be just fine

I think it's a legit response to "it begins."

Is this thread really about recruits leaving/not wanting to come to a school because of a bad season on the field?

I would say nothing to worry about if he hadn't already de-committed to look around before. This guy is not going to be a LSU commit at the end of the year unfortunately.

Loved the Franks quote. He's not over reactive like the majority of today's society. The sky is not falling, we are just in for one very bad year.

Eta: did some quick twitter research despite retweeting about his his visits to Msst and Ark he did refer to LSU as "us" and that we will be back strong next year

If he doesnt love LSU maybe he should look around, if he is just coming here to get the NFL or because we are on a hot streak, I really think everyone involved may be better off.

This is not a slight on Lewis, I am sure he is a fine kid, and I think he is a helluva player.

I would love to know what you are referring to here. I think I know, but I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Well it's 1 of 2 things, or maybe even both. Either LSU isn't as talented with players as 247 Sports and other recruiting sites predicted or the coaches are failing big time at progressing players.

If I had to guess it would be the coaches, but hey I hate LSU so that clouds my judgement!
