I'll concede the lazy part. But I'm not aware of any specific recruit that went elsewhere because of this. Some say so as if it were common knowledge.

If you think none of that goes on anywhere else that kids are recruited you are a moron. Kids don't make a decision of commitment to teams because fans are critical of the coach or not! If that were the case no kid would go anywhere!
