Decided on Borgne for pre- Katy Perry on wednesday, now what do I need to be sure and order? the menu looks good, we will be there in time for happy hour. Input and ideas are appreciated! Should I make a reservation or should I be good to just walk in?

From a friend that's a chef there:

Duck poppers are a must have. Oyster Pie is great. Hanger steak is really good. Drum too.

I haven't had a chance to make it there yet, but I trust this guy's opinion on food.

Went there once because we couldn't get in at Luke. Walked in, no problem. I remember it was very big, open and loud. Got Rabbit Confit and a a Pork Chop dish I believe. The rabbit wask ok and the Pork Chop was pretty good.

Only things I've had there are the oyster BLT and the pork chop w/ rb&r. Both were fantastic.

Check the happy hour daily food specials at the bar....$5 each, small plates but well worth ordering a bunch and splitting, depending on the menu

being that it's me and my fiancé for her bday, I'm not all that worried about splitting. But i like the idea of ordering variety of things to try.

went a couple of months ago during happy hour…ordered 5 small plates to split with the fiancee and I couldn't walk when we left it was so much food…and only 25 bucks and everything was great….loved the snail, catfish sliders, and tuna dip

They also have a nice beer selection considering Louisiana distribution and everything was $2 a can. That's cheaper than you can buy at a grocery store for some of those.
