A source tells the Denver Post that the initial belief is that Montee Ball (groin) will be out "for a while."

Ball is headed for an MRI Monday on what looks like a pretty severe groin pull. He was struggling badly so far this season anyway, rushing 55 times for 172 yards (3.12 YPC) with one touchdown. On Sunday, the backfield was turned over to Ronnie Hillman (15 carries) with Juwan Thompson (three carries) in support. C.J. Anderson was a healthy scratch, but probably only because he doesn't play on special teams. Going forward, we'd expect a committee featuring Hillman as the likely starter and Anderson mixing in as well.

So who's the pickup? Hillman or Anderson?

I'd go CJ Anderson.

It's likely gonna be a committee, though.

I feel it's going to be one of those deals where we need to see a game first.

Anderson could be GL back with Hillman working in the passing game, although Peyton hasn't thrown a ton to the RBs this year for whatever reason. Moreno had like 60 catches last year

So what? They didn't need him with Ball healthy. The last few weeks CJ Anderson was getting the bulk of the work behind Ball.

Hillman is more of a change of pace back over Anderson.

Hillman' knock has been blocking and fumbling. I'm not sure he would've gotten carries had anderson been healthy

CJ Anderson or Cunningham (if zac stacy misses time)?

If it comes down to those to getting the majority of the carries..?

I dont have anyone I can drop to get Hillman or Anderson. Luckily I already traded for Lacy in both leagues that I have Ball.

Are we talking 6 weeks or more?
