Are his off-the-field mishaps the reason why Ben Roethlisberger doesn't get the credit he deserves?

imo, if Pittsburgh threw the ball as much as Denver, NO, pre-dumspterfire New England, etc. Big Ben would be ranked about the same level as each of those teams' QBs

Uh, he gets more credit than he deserves. A lot of people think he's a hall of famer because of those Super Bowl rings.

With that said, he is a quality consistent NFL QB that is so hard to come by these days.

I think it would be idiotic to not have him included in the discussion unless the Steelers plummet and become the next New Orleans Saints

Where do you draw the line with hall of game QBs?

People also overlook how much he does at times just because he use to have great defenses. Yeah, the defense won his first Super Bowl, but the Steelers never make it there without Ben.

Practically 70% of his career has been behind awful lines too.

If he was in a different offensive scheme then he would finish with better stats than Terry Bradshaw

I'm a Big Ben fan. I hope they win the division and make a deep playoff run.

Heck, I hope they make it to the Super Bowl.

Well the base of my argument is that football has changed so much that the hall should be stricter on this generation of QBs.

Not a Steeler fan, but I do like Ben's style on the field.

Fair enough.

In a different offensive scheme, Big Ben would be on the same level as Tom Brady
