“Several players, coaches and former players have rendered an unsettling picture that all does not look well with Tom Brady and the Patriots and there’s a reason for it,” Mortensen said during Sunday NFL Countdown. “Even though Bill Belichick chuckled when asked Monday night about Brady’s status, others close to the team now believe that when the Patriots used that second-round pick (in 2014) on Jimmy Garropolo that they were, in fact, choosing Brady’s successor, perhaps sooner than later.

“Sources say Brady is uncomfortable with the personnel and coaching changes, the consequences have led to tensions between Brady and the coaching staff, with Brady’s input into gameplans, personnel packages, formations, pre-snap adjustments being significantly diminished.

can you blame him? They've depleted what he has to work with. He's gone from Wes Welker and Randy Moss to a barely functioning Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman.

Not to mention trading away Mankins.

Well they keep letting his good receivers walk, and do nothing to put good talent on offense.

If the patriots lose to Cincy tonight, it'll make this situation worse

Exactly. They're asking way too much of him.

Brady will be elsewhere in 2015

they also asked him to defer cash to open up cash to bring in help, and they instead let more guys leave.

Kraft is a doosh, he got lucky with Brady. Luck is running out.

Would be so hilarious to see Brady go to a team like the Jets and then win a Super Bowl.

They got burned back to back to back years with Chad Johnson, Brandon Lloyd and Danny Amendola. LaFell is going to make it 4 for 4.

It's hard to go bust in the offseason three years in a row but they did. It's not like they weren't trying to improve.

Agree with what most have said. They have basically rid Brady completely of any elite playmaker on offense.

And they traded away their biggest badass on the offensive line.

And they had him restructure his contract to help their cap.

Fvck the Patriots, they've screwed him lately.

Brady saved Belichik's career but Bill is a sociopath and thinks he did it on his own.

So some 32-33 year old receivers, an injury prone slot guy because they didn't want to pay Welker and annual disaapointment Brandon LaFell. If that's their big attempts to improve, Brady has even more right to be pissed.

It worked with Randy Moss, and Welker is a meth head possession receiver with two catastrophic knee injuries.

Belichick also couldn't have predicted Aaron Hernandez being the Charles Manson of the NFL and Rob Gronkowski being more fragile than RGIII.

Belichick has been making some idiotic decisions lately, and Patricia/McDaniels need to get their heads out of their asses. That being said, this team will win the AFC East and have a deep playoff run. If not? Oh well, it's not like they haven't been in one of the most tremendous runs in the history of the NFL and all great things have to come to an end.

Trade Brady to a dumb team like Washington, Dallas, or Oakland for a boatload of draft picks
