Should MLS change their name?

I've always thought that MLS was a derivative and dumb name for the league. What about something like America Premire or something that's more in line with the sport?

i think they should. MLS looks stupid and wtf is a MAJOR league any way. sounds childish. MLS is already taken so they have mlssoccer.com which is major league soccer soccer ,com. i kinda like APL American Pro (or Premier) League , American not just because Merica but the americans. eventually it could have the best teams from Canada America and maybe even those dirty mexicans can have a team

There are so many things they could have named the league besides MLS.
I don't really like the name but thinking about it, yeah, why not change it? It would be difficult but probably for the best in the long run.

Other countries have their term for their top leagues. The US uses 'Major'. I think it's good that's it's unique to us.

While we are at it, it's ok to say "MLS" or "The MLS". Yeah, technically, you are saying "The Major League Soccer" but, in reality, "The MLS" has become a pseudonym for saying "The League".

Personally I wouldn't a name change but I'd be surprised if they did. Problem is everyone who say American soccer is "trying too hard" again. I wouldn't say MLS is a bad name either so it's probably not worth it to mess with it.

The US does or baseball does? National (NBA, NFL, NHL) is much more fitting. Even switching up to something as simple as NSL is better than MLS.
