ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Justin Hunter could start over Nate Washington as soon as this week.

Hunter would replace Washington at X-receiver in two-wide sets after mostly playing in three-wide sets so far. The Titans are starting to realize they need to get his talent more involved despite his ineffective play through the first four games. Hunter has been playing on 76 percent of offensive snaps to this point, but his targets are set to increase as an every-down starter opposite Kendall Wright. He remains a WR4/5 hold on benches.

Do we even care at this point?

Believe it when I see it. His stone hands resulted in a pick last week.

Pretty sure no one even cares he's on the field

Captain Charlie had him wide open on a slant in the middle of the field but he decided to throw to Delanie Walker in double coverage for a score

I thought the same thing. I think Hunter's value goes way up if Mett becomes the QB. He would be like his Odell Beckham at LSU.

Huge news for Hunter.

The play call was for him, it worked, and Whitehurst still threw into double coverage.

If the QB situation was even a tiny bit better, this would be relevant to my interest. Delanie is the only worthwhile receiver on that team

That's like saying Larry Donnell is the Giants top WR

Wright caught a ton of balls last year

He doesn't suck all of a sudden now either. Titans are just a dumpster fire. No clue how they beat the Chiefs

Do you think Kelce was a huge factor in the Chiefs success the other day? It seems like once they made him a factor, everything changed for them. Bowe got open, JC was on fire. No way the Titans could beat them right now.

Valid point. Chiefs didn't have Bowe and JC was banged up.

Coincidentally Hunter had his best game that week

@evansilva: More from Schefter on NFL Live: "It wouldn't be a surprise" if #Titans turned to Zach Mettenberger at QB "pretty soon."
