I need immediate help with my golf swing

This is a long explanation but I would REALLY REALLY appreciate some help.
First off I'm an 11 handicap.
So I've been taking lessons working on my irons, mostly helping me draw the ball and control ball flight. I've been hitting the ball really well, even shot a 78 last week, first round in the 70s in a few months.
Today I go out to play 9 after work, and I'm hitting every tee shot literally 10 feet off the ground and directly left and hooking hard. And this wasn't just a miss, I couldn't not do it, even if I tried to hit a complete slice. Then I started hooking every club probably bc I was in my own head. I ended up coming off the course after 6 holes and heading to the range where I continued to hit almost only low hooks.
I'm kind of freaking out, wtf is going on? It's got to be club face, I have to be severely closing the face before impact, but even knowing that I couldn't stop it. I really need help, was it all mental and I'll be past it next time I'm out there? That's what I'm hoping but I dk, any ideas?

Obviously coming over the top. Also sounds like you might be staying on your right side. Try concentrating on keeping your weight on the inside of your right foot at the top of your backswing. Works for me. I don't use gadgets.

Obviously a weight distribution and torsion technique problem.
You'll be fine. Just fire your instructor.

you're raising your head at impact causing the low ball flight, hitting it low on the club face. you're also coming over the top
go to the range, take your stance then drop our back foot to where the tip of your back foot is in line with your front foot's heel.
this is just a drill but it will make you swing more into the slot coming down, causing a draw. keep looking down until you feel your back should coming up, touching your chin.
ps, i played college golf and mini tours for 3 years. tifwiw

move back an inch or 2 when addressing the ball
slow your hands down
open up the club face just a whisker

Definitely coming over the top, that's bern my biggest swing flaw for years, it's always made me slice the ball, not hit extreme low hooks, especially off the tee

If you don't release the club, you will slice. The key is the ball starting left.

Do you finish on your left foot or do you fall back on your finish?
