Lacouture, Godchaux, Herron, Bain, maybe Gilmore?

Are we really going to have a 255 pound Lewis Neal as #3 in the rotation?!?! Just don't see how this makes any sense at all (Neal at DT).

More worried about Packages. Lacoutoure Thomas and Bain should beable to eat up the run as long as we can keep them fresh.

Are you sure Thomas is even playing?
Also we have played two good running teams and did your aforementioned players stop them. I'll give you the answer...NO.

Can they improve?....Sure. Will they improve? We all better hope so.

Neal is playing there simply because the traditional DTs are not getting it done.

Neal is a beast. Extremely strong low leverage. Physical grimy long armed DT converted DE. He dominated 1 on 1 match ups and big cat drill

Neal is of value against a team running a spread offense

Namari, Neal is definitely strong as an ox. I don't mind him getting snaps there. I just don't think it would've happened if LSUs recruited DTs were playing well.

I'm waiting on Valentine. I think the one thing missing on this defense is a space eater. It would make Welter look soooo much better, along with everyone else.

Miles said Thomas is Day by Day. him playing with the addition of Bain bolsters our defense up greatly. Lacatoure Holds his own but I noticed Davon facing LOTS of double teams. I like our DT rotation, hopefully they all stick around till next year...

That means he probably had a career ending injury.

Lacatoure, godchaux, neal, bain, herron, and gilmore. Better to keep em fresh than play 3 and get gashed in 4th quarter due to fatigue?

I don't think Herron has played. Rotation last week was Lacotoure/Godchaux and Bain/Neal. Gilmore got in at the end with a walk-on at the other DT.

I'd hope somebody beat Thomas out. He just does not look effective to me. Bain, Herron, and Gilmore have to step up.

I'd rather have him at fullback. He's another Copeland. Read all of what you said, and tell me that wasn't Copeland every year? He'd be better blowing up LBs and leading the charge for Fournette. Why not switch him instead of Melvin Jones last year?

Lewis Neal could be there strongest guy on the team, and is very disruptive out there. And it's not like the guys in front of him are tearing it up out there. I'm perfectly fine with Neal getting some snaps.

For the rotations, I like:
Godchaux + Bain
Loc + Herron
Neal as the reserve sub.

Edit: assuming QT is out.

What about Mickey Johnson, the 310 lb Jr. Is he that bad? Worse than these frosh? Is he still on the team?

Is Johnson not good enough, or is he in the doghouse?

Mickey johnson has seen his playing time for the season. Somebody needs to step up and take over the starting spot next to lacouture. Thomas is not impressive and has been manhandled in both the big games we've played. Neal should be starting at DE ahead of hunter and moved inside on 3rd and longs with hunter coming in to help with pass rush. Defense desperately needs one of the rs fresh to step up and take a spot. Valentine might pass them all up seeing that none appear to be "special". With all that said it might not matter as it could just be a coaching issue. Never seen so many dlinemen dance with olinemen and then turn their backs to the play.
