Golden Meadow Fishing Trip

Leaving Vicksburg heading down to Golden Meadow to go fishing with a friend. I hope it's good because we are going to be missing some great deer hunting weather. Does anyone have any fishing reports for that area? Much appreciated.

I usually tear up the reds and speck from GM, but that is during the summer.

Yes.
Got no bites on the spoon/spinner bait. Caught fish under a cork. They were relatively inactive, nothing was hit hard.

Fished Golden Meadow/Leeville this morning on the east side of Bayou Lafourche. Caught 30 nice trout and two redfish, just about all caught using cocahoe minnows under a cork. Had some very nice trout in the box, so it appears that they are just starting to transition to the inside. Good luck.

Hope you aren't fishing the weekend. With the winds and high pressure I suspect there will be a MASSIVE case of lockjaw. If it were me and I was picking deer or fish based on the weather it would be deer all the way.
