True life court case in Germany about 20 years ago. Don't remember the names so I'll make that up.

John and Mary couldn't have a baby. John was sterile. So, they wanted to get Mary pregnant with artificial insemination. Doc said it would cost $1,000. They didn't have it. Their friends, Bill and Sue, said they could help out for $500. Bill would have sex with Mary at her next ovulation. Bill had good genes so the four of them agreed. Nothing personal just sex.

When her time came Mary called Bill over and they had sex. The next week Mary goes in for a pregnancy test. It's negative. They try again the following month. Same result. Now John is getting pissed about his wife having sex with Bill every month. He demands Bill get a check up. Doc tells Bill that he has a condition indicating he has been sterile from birth.

Problem... Bill and Sue have 2 children. Neither of them looks like Bill. Bill and Sue divorce. Bill sues John and Mary for the $500 since he performed the act. Court ruled in favor of John and Mary. No pregnancy, no money.

I feel sorry for the kid.

Since this is the first mixed race baby ever born, I can understand why the parents are so apprehensive about their girl being exposed to insensitive comments.
