Singleton sucks.

Cosart traded for scraps.

Santana is a 4a whiff machine.

Would be nice to have pence out there with springer and fowler

Yeah. I really wish the Astros had a 31-year old Hunter Pence to maybe give us a couple more wins this year.

Singleton was horrible this year over long stretches, but he also showed some great potential to be a power guy. Way too early to give up on him.

You really are consistent.

And you know absolutely nothing about baseball, evaluating talent, or the value of coherent and logical thinking.

Laugh because you can't rebuttal with actual counter points. The truth hurts.

Don't follow Astros too closely, but why did they deal Cosart? I like him.

Consistent as ever.

I believe you mean factual counter points? However, based on your post history I doubt you know a difference between actual and factual.

Here, I'll give you some facts:

You interpret the Astros as losing on the Pence deal because Cosart was dealt for scraps and Singleton sucks.

Pence has a .271 AVG and .328 OBP with almost 3:1 K:BB ratio during his time at SF.

Marisnick hit .272 during his time in Houston this year with OBP of .299.

Oh yeah, the Astros also have Moran, the #6 pick in the 2013 draft and a position of need for the Astros.

But I understand some people have simple minds which limit them to evaluate value beyond "hey, Pence is on TV and the Astros didn't make the playoffs. They blew that trade. Oh look, a squirrel!"

The Simple facts are, Pence is in his prime and he is getting paid like a prime player. If he were on the Astros, he would simply be another streaky outfielder, yet getting paid a ton of money.

Let's see how you evaluate the pence trade when Singleton, Marisnick and Moran are 31?

Maybe they all 3 wash out? Maybe they all three play at the same level as Pence. Factually, you can not yet evaluate the trade between a prime player and two rookies, a AA 3B, and an 18 yr old pitcher (don't forget about Frances Martes) until the young guys get to either wash out or make it to age 31 yrs old.

Oh look, a squirrel.

One year in the majors doesn't define a players career,

Congrats the Astros MAYBE could have been the 3rd worst team with pence in 2012-2013.

Astros on the losing end of a trade? SHOCKER!

Seriously though, everyone knows that Houston is just a farm club for several other MLB teams.
