So nobody gonna mention how meachem just let's the LB catch that pick? Other players knock that down or frick go tackle him before he catches it cause it's tipped. Awareness ??? As long as this bum catches 2 passes with his chest in a game they'll never let him go. Morgan should be playing but meachem ( who's is a WR) is such a great run blocker that he should play over a hungry younger player who, catches with his hands, can create separation and run decent routes. Dude is an above average blocking WR this is fact but saints fans tend to overrate crap to justify crap. He's no Andre Johnson or steve smith. Did I say he catches which his hands too? That 1-2 seconds if bobling could be good YAC.

But oh yeah in 2009. I wish that fricking crap would just stop. It's 2014 and we suck balls

This is more about the play, half assing players with no passion like Meachem should have been gone long ago.

I told my brother the same thing after I saw the replay. He made no attempt other than just watch.

I said the same thing initially, but if you look at the play from a different angle, it was pretty much impossible to make a play on the ball. His momentum was going the wrong way at the time.

He should have broke to the ball as soon as he saw it was tipped

You know something like this

He had already slowed down a good bit, he can't go 60-0 and back to 60 in half a second.

Its nice to watch things in slow-mo, you think you can do it all.

Miller had a hell of a lot more time to react to that ball.

Meachem was moving the opposite direction. This isn't a valid complaint. The dropped TD against CLE is

Dude in live fricking motion he just stood there. He had a chance to at least stop the LB from catching it. He's looking at the ball get tipped the whole way and just waits for it to come to him instead if GOING TO THE BALL as always or as someone who can catch with their hands would. He saw the whole sequence, it took 2 steps to get to the LB. Those 2 steps should have been takes as soon as it got tipped, he and the LB saw that the whole way yet the LB pursues that ball and the WR who's paid to catch them doesn't

The frick y'all talking about as the ball got tipped he didnt move at all anymore. That was a good chance heck if he had a better one you and I know he still wouldn't have tried seeing as meachem can't fight for a ball.

But hell what do I know saints fans will defend crappy players till the death.

Gtfoh if miller can get off his knees you can go 3 yards and slap the dudes hands or something.

You don't see him have to plant his feet to move forward. His weight was taking him the opposite direction

He was literally mid stride when the ball got tipped. The ball was in the air for about 1 second. In that 1 second, he planted his foot and shifted forward.

You're a hero

The ball was in the air longer for miller and the defender had the ball exposed over his head.

If the Cowboy had caught it over his head, Meachem was easily there

He probably couldn't have made a play on the ball. I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with his basket-catches-only arse playing significant snaps. Dude cannot catch a pass with his hands. I have no idea how he became a professional receiver. And if his blocking is so invaluable, why can't a WR screen for Cooks net the team more than a yard? Defenses don't need to respect Meachem because he is not a real threat. If he's in the game, it's probably just to block and it's not like defenses are clueless out there when looking at the Saints personnel packages. Well, besides our defense.

He's shuffling his feet while it's getting tipped. It took him 2 steps , he should have been taken those steps.

All the seahawk receivers do this, every team does simple game changing crap that we don't and it's agitating

You won't see the packers having guys because "oh they were good in 2010"

No, the "shuffling" was him going back forward.

His foot is coming off the ground when the ball is tipped. He can't just magically float over to the ball. He lands and goes forward right when the ball is getting caught.

The Cowboy did a good job of protecting the ball too, b/c meachem went for it. He just wasn't holding it above his head like in your hero's gif

He's like 3 yards away from where the LB caught that, he could have easily stopped him by pushing him at the very least. Whatever you want to call it he should have been going foward, in that 1 second he would have been there if he had some damn awareness.

He saw that the ball was going to get tipped the entire time. If he was a player who took the ball rather than waiting for it he's definitely be in position to do something but this was a case where he intended in waiting for the ball the entire time. So yes he could have but wants gonna try in the first place.

Another reason this bum shouldn't be here half added shite that. Trying, some
fricking effort, hustle would have been nice

But you must defend your beloved saints player

I've actually criticized him in this thread. I just do it when it is warranted. Keep repeating this in every post like you are some brave soul.

quote:

He saw that the ball was going to get tipped the entire time

Yes, he saw that the linebacker was going to make a fully extended play to the tip the ball while trying to move into a passing lane.

quote:

He's like 3 yards away from where the LB caught that, he could have easily stopped him by pushing him at the very least.

What gif are you watching. He puts his shoulder into him and goes for the ball with his left hand. The cowboy did a good job of securing the ball.

quote:

Trying, some
fricking effort, hustle would have been nice

Yes, his reaction to the play in 1 second clearly shows a lack of hustle. I think Meachem is washed up, but his effort hasn't been a problem for us.

Seriously, you're throwing a hissy fit for how he reacted to a bang bang play. He shuffled instead of stepped blah blah

Ok how about live motion?

LINK

He's right there. I've seen it with my own 2 eyes other teams played stop that or at least try. Heck chances he could cause him to bobble it are high.

I watched it on NFL Rewind before commenting in this thread.
