I usually avoid opening day. I am very happy the Astros are getting better but this may be the last year for buying $15 tix and sitting a few rows up down the baseline.

The sacrifices of having a competitive team I guess

Ken Burns baseball documentary on MLB network.

"The men that fail 7 out of 10 times are considered the games heroes."

I will never forgive that piece of shite for sending us to the AL West, while his beloved Brewers enjoy the NL. Good riddance, Bud

Or how about free tickets? They gave me free tickets in the Crawford boxes. A bunch of others got free tickets too.

And they still couldn't get a decent crowd.

Looks like Singleton won't get very much rope this season.

...at the same time, it's giving Dominguez more options because...well, he's running out of those.

Well First really does suit Matty D's speed but I do not want to be taking away innings from Singleton. Singleton is our 1B of the future and that's who needs the reps.

I think if we left Matty D at 3B and if he has a good first half at the plate, then he could be moved at the deadline and then we finish the season with Valbuena/Moran

And you all know how much I like Matty D but unfortunately I think his days are numbered

Are you saying that the Astros are playing favorites?

Have any of you looked at the 2015 Free Agent class. Holy shite, it's loaded.

No I'm not suggesting they're playing favorites. It's the Major Leagues.

I just don't agree with finding AB's for one of the worst hitters in the game last year. Especially at a position as log jammed as first base is for the Astros

I just want to go to MM, look up at the board, and see someone besides Altuve hitting above .220

My bold prediction: Chris carter finishes no lower than 3rd for MVP votes this year.

@EvanDrellich: If they ban shifts, Jeff Luhnow will invent an invisible cyborg to play in the hole. But it might make Ryan Vogelsong uncomfortable.
