What's your favorite Superman theme song?

All Star Superman theme
John Williams theme
Hans Zimmer Man of Steel "Flight"
I always thought John Williams was the best ever but there's something about all star that simply just makes it better to me and All Star is just better to me now as Christopher Drake perfectly captures the quiet but powerful and heroic spirit of Superman and what makes him tGOAT superhero. Just my opinion. What's yours?
This thread is post 20K btw.

Just kidding.

There is no equal. Many of his themes are awesome though, but that theme is mind-blowing.

It's a GOAT film score alone.

Not a theme, but I'll never get to post it anywhere else.

I just watched All Star Superman the other day for the first time and really liked it even though it was a tad choppy pacing wise.
I agree that the music was great.
I've actually never been a huge fan of the Williams score. Its solid but I've always felt it's too similar to the Star Wars music to the point that it felt like he half assed it. Of course, my current opinion could be tainted from how much I disliked its overuse in Superman Returns.

Half-assed? What other film score actually says the title of the movie in the music?
LINK
Watch and listen to the score when "Superman" pops up onto the screen during the opening credits. The music literally says "Superman the Man of Steel!"

Well to be fair he stole a good bit of both soundtracks/every soundtrack he has ever composed.

Williams, though the All Star one puts up a pretty darn good fight.

which is why I think he is a bit overrated.
I realize everyone steals from themselves (and of course others) but I just think the Supes theme is too similar to Star Wars.

They both have march-like qualities, are in the key of C-major, and use almost exact instrumentation in similar ways (trumpets have the melody most of the time, flutes and lower brass have accent/reply notes, violins play melody during the "trio"). The same goes with Indiana Jones. Of course, to a person who's never been a professional musician, they sound the same.

I would argue that being a musician more easily clues a person into just how similar they actually are.

They do have their similarities. For one...they were both written by the same composer: John Williams.
His scores in the 70s and 80s, with a few exceptions here and there, all had similar themes.

I'd argue, as someone that has performed all three of them in an orchestra before, a musician is more likely to draw comparisons both in the structures and themes of his various "original" works.

John Williams' theme hands down. It is Superman to me.

All superheroes owe their existence to Superman and he provided further inspiration for similar approaches like Captain America.

It's fantastic but All Star just has something more that I just can't describe or put my finger on.
It's like trying to compare reverse cowgirl or doggystyle.
