I'm still confused as to why Corey White is starting over Stanley Jean Baptiste, I mean, is he hurt or something? Why hasn't SJB been on the field?

Dude is probably not good enough yet to over take White, but why not play him over Dixon???

He sucks really bad. Definitely looked like that in the preseason.

that's what i was thinking too.... i mean you playing an undrafted player over a 2nd rounder?? its he THAT bad? that much of a project?
if so, let him go and get someone that can play now.... we need all the fricking help we can afford...

SJB relied on his size in college more than his technique. And that doesn't fly in the NFL unless you're a Patrick Peterson caliber of an athlete, which SJB is not.
Dixon has good size and speed and athleticism, better athlete than SJB, and he has experience playing in a press cover man to man scheme. And he played week in preseason and camp and there were whispers that he could take PRobs job when he made the roster. Not that surprised he's seeing PT. Am a little surprised he's ready ahead of SJB. That tells me he's not just a little raw... He's extremely raw and might not of been the best pick for us.

Once again another wasted early round draft pick by the front office. We have the worst D in the league and our 2nd round can't even sniff the playing field.

Then why in hell did we draft him 5 rounds too early? I am losing patience with this front office.

He also started off at Nebraska as a WR, so he's only been playing CB for a few years.

I honestly don't trust this regime to draft corners, they are so bad it.

Just think, instead of signing Byrd, we could have started Rafael Bush.
And signed Aqib Talib

I'm still confused as to why our Front Office and Scouting Department can't hit more on the Defensive side of the ball.
Vaccarro & John Jenkins are the only ones in recent memory that are deserving of the spots they were picked in.
Guys like Malcolm Jenkins, Roman Harper, Patrick Robinson all played roles and were thrust into starting by default basically, and never lived up to their 1st rd draft status...Harper was 2nd rd but was always a liability in coverage
Then there are the Stanley Arnouxs, Chip Vaughns, Al Woods, Martez Wilsons, Rufus Johnsons that we waste draft picks on that either don't see the field at all or do not at least finish out their rookie contracts

He's clearly already pinned as a bust. If he can't crack the four-deep on this pathetic secondary, I won't hold out much hope.

Remember when our management was good at drafting and evaluating talent?
