Anyone here ever replace their Boat seat cooler for center consoles with a premium Ice Chest?

What fit best?

My currently holds an igloo 94 qt marine snug inside the stainless tubes and between the flip seat back with cushion...

Is your ice chest also a seat? Your CC seat setup sounds like mine if so.

Do you have dimensions of the space for the cooler?

That's probably accessible from igloo's website, but OP seems to have taken a nap.

My boat is at my father in laws in bay saint louis right now...

the igloo is pretty close to being straight up and down and doesn't narrow much(if any) like the yeti's and others do

but here is the dimensions of the igloo from their website...

35in L x 17in W x 18in H.

Yes...there is stainless tubing with four posts that attach to the hull floor...then there is a center hinge type piece on each side, where the seat back flips back and forth to access the ice chest depending on whatever side you decide to place the opening of the chest...

Have the same seat. If you go with a premium ice chest in there you will need to fashion some sort of pad on it. This will make it even heavier. I'm looking at redoing my seat altogether. Going to a leaning post soon.

Is this your seat? Just saw on LASM.

I have the same and I hate it.

pretty close...

mine has a post on each corner bolting to the hull instead of the bar going all the way across...

upholstery looks the same...but mine is like this one...(not my boat) the bars come straight up

I'll see if I can find a better picture than this one...

I really don't mind the setup...

here is a more detailed pick of the mounting and hinged seat back...it's pretty stout...

I have the same setup. There are two reason I have not gone premium:

1. I have had two of the cheap ones stolen already; and

2. I often need to remove it when filled with ice and fish. I don't need the extra weight.

It seems like they they all make these based around an igloo 94 marine...would be nice to find a Coleman extreme this exact size...

Well, the other thing is, I just don't need ice to last any longer than it does in my boat. I never spend the night in it.

I had a local awning shop make my seat with 3" foam. Much better than what you can find in a store.

I'm proficient at this! Just had Father-in-law's 3 carbs off his 70hp Yammy off last week, cleaning them out completely! High speed jets were clogged and engine wouldn't go over 3000rpms. Also did the carbs twice on my old old boat in the 4 years I had it.

Yeah, it's at my disposal, pretty much any time I want it, but it's a 17ft flat bottom carolina skiff. I want to get out into the bays a bit more and find the bigger trouts!

Let me know when and where and I'll gladly help.

I can do them just fine...I just lack the energy and the willpower...maybe between the two of us something could actually get done...
