Defined as : Related to hysterical criticism of a perfectly good player, completely oblivious to the fact that he is being asked to play out of position, in a scheme that does not fit his strengths and/or not playing to his core competencies.

It is a coaches job to make sure that a player is in the proper scheme and has the best opportunity to succeed. Said Coach must accept responsibility for putting a player in a position that he is unlikely to succeed at.

Fans might want to consider that before making someone their whipping boy. Sometimes a 3/4 guy might not be the best 4/3 guy, Especially if he's not getting support up front.

Ok-now tear me a new arse...I can take it...

if a coach has to play a player out of position that means there was a failure in recruiting/development

the need it due to a gap in the roster and/or the player himself shouldn't have been recruited or developed in that way

Is this a Jennings thread or a Welter thread?

Danny McCray was awful in man to man coverage. On 3rd down I would just find #44 and wait for the inevitable 3rd down completion (or 4th down in Arkansas' case). No doubt opponent's coaches, who are smarter than I, did the same.

Nobody is blaming Welter for being on the field, we know its the coaches decision.

If this is about AJ, you may have a point as our offensive scheme does not seem to suited to his strengths.

If this is about 31, you are wrong. He is just not an SEC caliber player and it gets highlighted every game.

I'm sure he's a great kid, but this is big time college football. Produce or sit. That goes for every position on the team.

Look, he's played well is spots, that's undeniable. I think he'd be much more effective in a fast paced, spread offense.

It does seem odd that the coaches called more plays like that for BH than for AJ.

That said, it is clear to anyone with a brain that BH should be the starts moving forward. Yes, even getting his first start at AU

You didn't answer the question.

What do you think his strengths are?

Danny McCray was awful

Yet, he is still on an NFL roster.

But seriously, who is this thread about?
