I assumed that after the game was well in hand, Jennings would be back to build up his confidence and that he would at least get the first series next week. Now, I don't think there's any way he plays against Auburn unless things go very wrong or very right. No way he starts the AU game after getting yanked the way he did.

Looks like the staff is going to ride Harris.

yeah it certainly did appear that jennings straight up lost his job tonight

that's got to go down as the worst start for a QB ever for LSU

Well he didn't help himself with the INTs - Miles' Achilles heel, for sure.

It went pretty much exactly like the Rant wanted. Jennings had a horrible game and Harris was fantastic, enough so that starting Jennings and leaving Harris on the bench next week would be indefensible.

If he had made those mistakes vs a good team the game was over.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised they put Kragthorpe in late. I mean, everything else aside, Jennings needs reps there.

Me too. As sure a sign as any that Harris will be the guy against Auburn.

Agreed. We will need him sometime down the road and he needs his confidence built back up. I don't want him to have that J Lee syndrome.

He seems like a great kid. I was really shocked when he did not get the 4th quarter.

no doubt that was bad. but this was the worst START to a game for a QB in an LSU uniform that i've ever seen. the first quarter was a complete farce.

I don't know, Jordan Jefferson only managed 4 yards against McNeese.

For those who want to know: 5/8 for 28 yards passing. -24 yards rushing (sacks).

Bookmarked for bump when he starts against Auburn. It's like we all of a sudden forgot that Miles is the coach and assume some sort of rational decision will be made.

Truth. Four turnovers in the first quarter & three of them were by Jennings....1 fumble & 2 INTs.

Miles benched Hilliard for more then half the game after he fumbled in the first quarter which was the fourth turnover in the 1st quarter.

I think miles saw all he needed to see with jennings
I don't think jennings starts at auburn
he's never played on the road at another teams stadium, same as harris.

jennings seems like he's much more prone to be rattled and make mistakes at this point

I definitely hear you, but I gaurantee that Jennings doesn't start next week. Even Miles can't start a qb on the road vs a top 5 team after having yanked him the way he did Jennings tonight.

This was a Jarrett Lee vs Alabama 2011 style yanking. And Lee was a senior with an undefeated record on the season and leading the conference in pass efficiency.

Had Jennings gotten a couple garbage time series tonight, I would absolutely agree that he'd get the first series against AU.
