I think Chris Johnson is the safer play.

Taliaferro vs Carolina is your safest bet. CJ is damn near the #2RB in the Jets offense and playing a stout run D. If you wanna roll the dice then I'd say McKinnon. He's a much better RB than Asiata with PLENTY of upside and Atlanta isn't good at all against the run. Matt Ryan is usually much worse playing outdoors and on the road too so this game can end up being closer than people think. I think it's only a matter of "when" and not "if" the Minnesota coaching staff is ready to let McKinnon loose. A week against a weak Atlanta run D would be a good start. So, in a nutshell, I'd scratch CJ and decide whether you want to play it safe with Taliaferro or gamble with McKinnon.

What kind of numbers are you predicting for Taliaferro?

Safest out of these three. Chris Ivory is getting double the production of Chris Johnson while they are splitting touches and they plan to increase Ivory's workload. Taliaferro is set to get the bulk of the touches and is by far the best runner in that backfield. Jets are facing at Detroit defense that is currently ranked 2nd against the run (63.7 ypg) and ranked 2nd in total points scored while Carolina is currently ranked 27th against the run (145.3 ypg) and 10th in overall points scored.

Ouch. I'd draw from a hat and hope for the best.

I'd go for the TD from Taliaferro because I doubt any of those guys will get yardage with those matchups and limited touches.
