The Rev. Al Sharpton said his civil rights organization, the National Action Network, is "engaged in immediate conversations" with the White House as they work to name a successor to Attorney General Eric Holder, who is set to announce his resignation Thursday afternoon. "We are engaged in immediate conversations with the White House on deliberations over a successor whom we hope will continue in the general direction of Attorney General Holder," Sharpton said in a statement.

No lets not pick the best person for the job, WTF, lets make sure the pick is racially "ok" when the last guy in office was black!!!

Its all a joke.

How about finding someone who will do their job by UPHOLDING THE frickING LAW?

Holder's had enough scandals that you'd think that the Senate would hold any future AG nominee's feet to the fire to prevent a repeat of this clusterfrick.

Of course, you'd be wrong, but it's at least something to shoot for.

They've got to make sure the next AG follows through on the persecution of the Ferguson PD.

Good let this be an example of a minority presidency and shining beacon of light and what is to come when whites are no longer a majority. All the demands for inclusion then will be replaced by angry black men like Holder providing a separate but equal view of law.
Holder was by no means the most qualified man for the job, he was the one Obama knew would serve to promote the agenda. A nerdy Reverend Wright without the potty mouth and much more dangerous as AG.

Why would anyone be surprised that Sharpton would be involved in picking the next AG? This crappy administration has embraced Al Sharpton from day one. Sharpton and Holder are particularly close.

I asked the likes of trackfan to explain why a "great man" like Holder would embrace a shyster like Al Sharpton, but of course, the little coward didn't respond.

I love a good train wreck, but not when it comes to filling cabinet positions. Sharpton would be an absolute disaster at press conferences.

Oh good, we can all be confident that a totally independent, non-partisan voice will emerge as the next Atty General. And of course, that race will not even be a hint of a factor in choosing.

Sharpton saying it and it happening are two totally different things. I'd hope that inside the White House, they are laughing at this.

Sharpton has a penchant for overestimating his importance.

FYI, Obama has chosen more Whites to serve in his administration than any of the previous 43 President have chosen Blacks, but that's enough for you folks, you'll only be satisfied if he chooises all Whites.
